This project was a nightmare from day one. I've been hoarding the blue floral for years, afraid that the minute I used it I would want it for something else and I think it was punishing me for all that time it was stuck in a drawer! I took it apart, screamed at it, and started over again many, many times, but I do love the end result and it looks great in my kitchen. 24 x 31

Middle Right - Fall Into Winter (traditional, pieced, machine quilted)

Bottom Left - Rosie The Riveter (traditional, pieced, machine quilted)

This quilt was a product of the Brown Bag Project. 31 x 31

Bottom Right - A Little Bit of Frieda (traditional, pieced, hand quilted)
Quilt Owner: Kalpna Thuraisamy
Quilt Maker: Elizabeth Gonzalez
Gonzalez wrote that her friend Kalpna went to Mexico and came back very excited about visiting Frieda Kahlo's home and her art work. Several days later, I came across the Frieda Kahlo fabric and knew that it was meant to be a wall hanging for her.
