"Class Shot"
The Totem Heritage Center held an Intermediate/Advanced Chilkat Weaving class October 5 - 17, 2002. The students posing with their pieces are (from left) Angel Williams, Mary Mann, Debbie McLavey, Evelyn Garnett, Instructor Evelyn Vanderhoop, Bonne Wolstad, Lorraine Kahle, Carrie Vanderhoop, Eliasica Timmerman and Dolly Garza. Dolly Garza works on her pair of Chilkat leggings during Intermediate/Advanced Chilkat Weaving at the Totem Heritage Center.
Haida weaver Evelyn Vanderhoop taught the class at the Center.

Vivian Benson learns how to create a pair of Chilkat leggings.

 

"Work in Progress"
Vivian Benson nears completion of one of her leggings in Intermediate/Advanced Chilkat Weaving at the Totem Heritage Center. This stylized face with its yellow coloring is a common feature of Chilkat pieces.
Haida weaver Evelyn Vanderhoop taught the class.
