Ketchikan - Hospitals across the US will unite for one week in
May to celebrate the power of care and its impact on communities,

announced this week.
"Bringing the Power of
Care to the Community" is the American Hospital Association's
theme for the 2003 National Hospital Week Celebration, running
May 11-17th. KGH will host events in Ketchikan promoting awareness
of health care programs and recognizing the contributions of
health care workers.
"Health care has a personal
and very powerful role in the lives of every member of our community,"
Pat Branco, administrator of KGH said. "National Hospital
Week gives us an opportunity to connect with people in a positive
environment and celebrate the great things happening in health
care today."
Launched in 1921, National
Hospital Week has grown into the nation's largest health care
event. This year's events include:
Saturday, May 10, 9am-2pm,
OB Department:
Pondering Parenthood Baby Fair:
Meet the staff, discuss our family centered birth philosophy,
take infant CPR classes. Tours, refreshments, prizes. The results
of the department's New Name Contest will be announced.
Monday, May 12, 2pm, KGH
